Healthcare Experts Unite to Launch Innovative Tools for Consumers

SCOTTSDALE (July 22, 2009) — Allviant a spinout of Medicity, Inc., today announced the formation of its Advisory Board to add perspective and insight to its soon-to-be-released CarePass™ technology. The advisors include industry leaders with decades of experience shaping and leading employer and health plan innovations.

Cyndy Nayer is President and CEO of the Center for Health Value Innovation, an employer-led collaborative that drives the use of value-based design to improve health while reducing costs. Ms. Nayer is a well-known speaker and advocate for innovative approaches to health and wellness that make good business sense through improved health, economic and community outcomes. Nayer is co-author of the soon-to-be-released Leveraging Health, documenting the successes and levers in value-based designs.

Leonard Grover, Industry Consultant, who recently retired as Vice President and Consumerism National Practice Leader with Mercer Health & Benefits, has represented Mercer at national conferences on trends in consumer-directed health plans. Mr. Grover's career has included chief marketing officer and chief sales officer roles with regional CIGNA and UnitedHealthcare operations, and he has served as President of the Utah Health Insurance Association.

Dana H. Felthouse, MBA, is President of the Pharmacy Benefit Management Institute, a resource for effective design of drug benefits and a forum for driving market change that improves pharmacy benefits and controls costs. Ms. Felthouse is the primary author of PBMI's nationally recognized research publications, a member of the URAC Pharmacy Advisory Group, and frequent speaker on benefit design for better outcomes.

Jim Sandridge, Vice President of Business Development at OptumHealth division of United Healthcare, has spent over 25 years as a senior executive in the healthcare industry – the past 15 years with disease and wellness management companies including ParadigmHealth and CorSolutions, helping health plans, unions and employers to improve outcomes for their members and employees.
