During tough economic times, it is more important than ever for all of us to become a part of our community in any way we can. As a company that strives to make life easier for healthcare consumers, we are building a culture of service to others, and service to our community is a large part of that. With our Be, Give and Do core values, we take great pride in extending ourselves for the common good of our community. Here are just a few ways we’re involved.

We’ve “adopted” the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale as the local non-profit organization of choice. We donate both our personal time and our professional resources to help the BGCGS develop area youth. We’re becoming involved in a variety of ways, from helping the clubs develop a sound Social Media strategy to buying and delivering gifts for the Club’s “Adopt-a-Family” for during the Holidays.

Our involvement with Toys for Tots began in December of 2008. With less than a week before Christmas, it was decided that the only way to make a difference that year was for all of ASU SkySong to become engaged. Within a few hours we’d contacted building management, our SkySong friends, and the Scottsdale Fire Department (the local Toys for Tots drop off point) and the drive was underway. With just a box, a bow, some signs, a series of emails, and everyone joyfully in on the action, we were able to collect almost three-dozen gifts to donate. This demonstrated that just a little effort can make a big difference.

Donating time and resources aren’t the only way a person can make a difference. UBS makes frequent stops at ASU SkySong and we feel it’s important to take advantage whenever they pay us a visit. A number of Allviant team members are regular donors giving blood three time a year.
