Tom McHale
VP of Business Development
Tom brings over 20 years of healthy entrepreneurial spirit and possibilities imagination. Two forces led Tom to join Allviant: his never-ending desire to change the world and his long working relationship with Lilian Myers. Back in 1995, Lilian convinced him to join a brand new strategic initiative for Microsoft, where he ended up leading a team to recruit the nation’s largest software companies to Microsoft server platforms. Since then, he has never looked back from the entrepreneurial side.
McHale has a long track record of creating game-changing technology partnerships that enable players in traditional industries to break into new markets and gain competitive advantages. McHale spent over 10 years with Microsoft driving large-scale technical and marketing partnerships with the nation’s largest independent software vendors (ISV). As regional manager of the Industry ISV team, he developed partnerships that drove over $50 million in incremental revenue for Microsoft server products. Prior to Allviant, McHale built and ran a 12-person marketing organization for industry leader Benefitfocus where he developed and implemented go-to-market strategies for the healthcare payer and employer benefits management markets. Previously, McHale led worldwide business planning, strategy development, and product management for non-profit industry leader Blackbaud’s online business and directed product and marketing strategy for startup BAport Technology.
Tom is a graduate of Emory University, earning a B.A. Degree in Economics with a concentration in Computer Science. He completed his Masters of Business Administration at The University of North Florida, focusing on Marketing and Finance. He enjoys family life with his wife of 22 years and two ‘almost’ college bound high schoolers.
